Teafale Lenard announces he will forego his final collegiate season to begin pro career
Rumors have been swirling over the last week that MTSU transfer Teafale Lenard would never play at the University of Memphis. The athletic and talented wing made it official on Tuesday night that he will forego his final collegiate season to begin focusing on his pro career.
Last season at MTSU, Lenard averaged 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. The 6-foot-7 transfer is best known for his defensive ability and extreme athleticism.
Lenard certainly would’ve had a role for the Tigers in 2023, but it may have been diminished by other transfer portal additions. Penny Hardaway and the staff loaded up at the wing position in the portal which could’ve limited Lenard’s overall exposure next season.
