Penny Hardaway has done it again. Two months ago, there were a ton of questions about the construction of the roster, but Hardaway and the staff have recently added Louisiana transfer Jordan Brown and Alabama transfer Jahvon Quinerly.
Memphis was linked to Quinerly quickly after he entered the transfer portal, and he will now continue his career in the Bluff City. The transfer point guard spent one season at Villanova before spending the last three years in Tuscaloosa.
In his three seasons with the Crimson Tide, Quinerly averaged 11.8 points, 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 35.7 percent from three-point range.
Quinerly gives Memphis the true point guard they have needed since the end of the 2022 season. Point guard and center were the two biggest needs for the Tigers, and Hardaway and his staff have done a tremendous job of addressing both positions with Quinerly and Brown, respectively.
