Memphis recruited Xavier Hill coming out of Olive Branch High School, but he ultimately chose to further his career at LSU. After entering the transfer portal last week, Hill was on campus this weekend on an official visit. Shortly after the visit, Hill made a decision to commit to Memphis.
In the 2020 class, Hill was ranked as the No. 483 overall player and No. 26 overall guard coming out of high school. During the spring, Hill was in the mix to start for LSU this season, but he only appeared in three games during the season.
At 6-foot-4 and 318 pounds, Hill brings elite size to Memphis’s offensive line room. The offensive line will clearly be a priority for Ryan Silverfield and the staff throughout the offseason, and the addition of Hill is a big get for Memphis.
