The Memphis Grizzlies have officially signed Tosan Evbuomwan and Trey Jemison to 10-day contracts under their hardship exceptions (via Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn). This comes one day after the Grizzlies announced the signing of Matthew Hurt of the Memphis Hustle to a 10-day deal as well.
Evbuomwan joins the squad after impressive play with the Motor City Cruise, averaging 15.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in the G League. At 6’8 and 215 pounds, he provides excellent scoring, rebounding, and floor spacing and looks to be a great addition for a much-depleted team.
Jemison, who has been a personal target of mine and many other Grizzlies fans, joins the squad after a recent 10-day stint with the Washington Wizards. The 6’10, 260-pound big man has been averaging 13.6 points and 12.1 rebounds per game for the Birmingham Squadron of the NBA G League this season. He will definitely be a valuable body in the rotation with his size, hustle, and tremendous rebounding ability.
Both players will look to add big man depth to the roster and provide much needed rebounding and scoring.
