What a first week back it has been for Ja Morant!
It was a week ago when Ja Morant returned to the Grizzlies, and in that time, he has quickly reminded the NBA World exactly who he is and what he means for both the Grizzlies and the league.
So much so that he earned NBA Western Conference Player of the Week Honors his first week back!!!
And the it is not merely Morant’s presence that has made a difference, but also his performance as well. He simply is picking up right where he left off over the previous two seasons, consistently being one of the best offensive engines in the league.
In other words, this the best possible development for both Morant and Grizzlies coming off his 25-game suspension to start the season and the Grizzlies very difficult stretch of play without him. However, with Morant playing at an All-NBA level, the elevated play of others around him, and the team riding their first three game winning streak of the season, the focus for the Grizzlies is full steam ahead.
And for Morant, this is an honor that is truly deserved due to the excitement and full level of focus he has displayed in returning to the court.
