Memphis 901 FC To Have Four Post-game Fireworks Shows

It’s long been a staple of Memphis Redbirds games so it was only a matter of time before it became part of the Memphis 901 FC game day experience: post-game fireworks.

The team announced on Tuesday that, for the first time in 901 FC history, there will be games with fireworks displays. All told, there will be four such games. The first one is actually the very next home game. That’s on Saturday, May 25 at 7:30pm against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (Tickets are on sale now.) and the final one will be on Saturday, October 12 against the Sacramento Republic, which makes sense given that it’s the final home game of the regular season.

Following last season, Bluff City Media gathered feedback from numerous fans of Memphis 901 FC in an attempt to figure out what the team could do to boost their attendance. One thing fans wanted to see was more of an effort to turn it from just a game day into a game day experience. Adding four post-game fireworks shows certainly fits the bill in that regard.

Before the Beale Street Boys return to AutoZone Park, they do have one more away game. That is this Friday, May 17 in El Paso against the Locomotive. Kickoff is set for 8pm Central Time and can be viewed on both WMC 5.3 and on ESPN+.
