Memphis 901 FC To Host Free Coach Education Clinic

Memphis 901 FC has been doing a very good job of becoming more involved in the Memphis community of late. They have made several trips to inner-city schools. They recently held their annual open practice in the stadium out at Mike Rose. And today the team announced they will be hosting a free coaching education clinic.

The clinic will take place on Saturday, June 8 to coincide with the next 901 FC home game against the Colorado Springs Switchbacks (kickoff at AutoZone Park set for 7:30pm). It is open to any and all coaches who wish to attend be it club coaches or high school coaches.

This year’s clinic, the third in as many seasons, will begin at 10am in the auditorium at CBU and will feature Memphis 901 FC head coach Stephen Glass as well as Diogo Teixeira, the Youth Technical Coordinator at Sporting Lisbon in Portugal. Following the opening lecture there will be an on-field demonstration with lunch immediately after at Celtic Crossing. But the learning doesn’t stop there. Not only is the clinic free for coaches, but each coach will be given free admission to that night’s game against Colorado Springs at AutoZone Park.

Coaches will have the opportunity for a pregame talk with Teixeira, a halftime talk with Teixeira, and then a post-game wrap with both Teixeira and Glass in the club level of AutoZone Park.

To register for the event, coaches can visit the Memphis 901 FC website or click the link here.
