On Sunday, Memphis guard Keonte Kennedy entered the transfer portal after only one season with the Tigers. After transferring from UTEP, Kennedy averaged 9.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in 25 games played.
Throughout the season, Kennedy emerged as Memphis’ best three-point shooter as he connected on 38.1 percent of his shots from beyond the arc. Kennedy was an instrumental piece of the team, but he missed the AAC and NCAA tournaments after breaking his hand.
Following the first regular season matchup against Houston, Kennedy punched a wall which effectively ended his season and also his career in a Memphis uniform.
In the transfer portal, Penny Hardaway and the staff have already made two additions in Temple transfer Nick Jourdain and Florida State transfer Caleb Mills.
