Following a 6-6 finish to the 2022 regular season, Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield and the staff will host a group of impressive official visitors over the weekend. The group of visitors includes Alabama transfer and former four-star prospect Braylen Ingraham and Texas transfer Marcus Tillman Jr.

As a four-star coming out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida, Ingraham was a nationally regarded prospect. Ingraham was ranked as the No. 10 overall strong side defensive end in high school and racked up offers from some of the top programs in the country. Before Ingraham enrolled at Alabama, former 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons had some high praise for the defensive lineman:

“Defensive lineman with a thicker lower half. Needs to add some strength up top. Sudden athlete with a really good first step. Penetrating defender that has versatility to play defensive end or inside. Better at getting skinny than getting stout. Good in pursuit with the ability to change directions and retrace. Has impressive combine athleticism. Needs to become more active with his hands. Can become an elite defensive lineman with the right physical development with mid-round NFL Draft upside.”

The other transfer that will be on campus this weekend – Marcus Tillman Jr. – entered the portal in 2021, and he is starting to pick up offers from schools around the country. Over the last week, Charlotte, Temple and Western Kentucky have all offered the former Longhorns linebacker.

Another major highlight of this group is one of the top JUCO prospects in the country. Four-star defensive tackle Derick Hunter is currently ranked as the No. 5 overall JUCO player in the 2023 class. At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Hunter is a game wrecker in the middle of the Hinds Community College defense.

Memphis will also host two current Louisiana Tech commits – Jarra Anderson and Elijah “Bill” Davis. Anderson is the No. 70 overall defensive lineman in the 2023 class and Davis is the No. 62 overall running back.

The Tigers currently have the No. 62 overall class for 2023, and Silverfield and the staff are clearly looking to build upon it with an incredibly strong list of visitors slated to come in over the weekend.
