Memphis coach Ryan Silverfield and the staff have landed a multitude of commits on Monday, and they don’t seem to be slowing down. After a visit this weekend, CJ Johnson has announced that he will continue his collegiate career at Memphis.
Although he is currently unranked, Johnson has taken visits to Charlotte, Georgia State, Troy and UTSA over the last few weeks. According to his Twitter, Johnson holds 18 Division 1 offers and one Power Five offer from Washington State.
In 2022, Johnson racked up 75 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and one pick-six, and he was named SWJCFC All-Conference First-Team.
Johnson played at Navarro College where he was teammates with former Memphis commit Marcus Tillman Jr. The former Texas linebacker decommitted from Memphis late Sunday night.
