After an official visit to Memphis over the weekend, Hutchinson Community College offensive lineman Chris Morris has committed to Memphis. Morris is currently ranked as the No. 10 overall player and No. 4 overall offensive tackle in JUCO, according to 247Sports.
Coming out of high school in the 2020 class, Morris was ranked as a four-star prospect and chose to go to Texas A&M. Morris left the program in 2021 and ultimately ended up at Hutchinson. Talent has never been a question for the Memphis native, and he is a huge get at a position of need for the staff.
Ryan Silverfield and the staff have made it clear that the offensive line is position they’d like to upgrade, and Morris brings great size at 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds. Memphis has now landed two of the top ten junior college players in the country as they also added four-star defensive tackle Derick Hunter on December 12.
Morris is the third commit of the day for the Tigers as they have also landed Arkansas punter transfer Reid Bauer and three-star running back Raydrian McKneely.
