For the first time in school history, two Tigers landed on the All-AAC First Team. Unsurprisingly, those two players are Kendric Davis and DeAndre Williams.

Davis and Williams led Memphis to a 23-8 overall record (13-5 AAC) and the No. 2 seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament. With two of the best players in the conference on the team, Memphis is also expected to make it to the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive season.

For the season, Davis averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game. In his first season with the Tigers, Davis led the conference in points and assists per game and was second in steals per game.

Williams has been a mainstay for Penny Hardaway over the last several years, and he had his best season in 2023. For the year, Williams averaged 17 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.

Throughout the year, Davis was named AAC Player of the Week five times, and Williams received the nod three team. Davis was also named Sporting News Third Team All-American this week.

The AAC also announced the Player of the Year (Marcus Sasser) and Coach of the Year (Kelvin Sampson) among other awards on Wednesday.
