Memphis guard Kendric Davis has been outstanding this year, and he was named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week by the U.S Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Davis is the first Memphis player and first player in American Athletic Conference history to earn this achievement.

In games against UCF and Temple, Davis averaged 31 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals. Although the Tigers split those two games, Davis proved time and time again how important he is to this team. Davis shot 48.7 percent from the floor and 84 percent from the free throw line.

On the season, the transfer guard is averaging 21.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Through 18 games, Davis has scored 20 or more points in 10 contests.
