Keonte Kennedy Out for Regular Season After Breaking His Hand

The University of Memphis basketball program announced on Thursday afternoon that Keonte Kennedy is out for the remainder of the regular season with a broken hand. The guard suffered the injury after he “struck a wall out of frustration” following the Houston loss.
Kennedy had surgery on Sunday after the game, according to the release. With Kennedy being the Tigers third leading scorer and its best three-point shooter, this is a massive loss with only four regular season games less.
The release states that the program is “hopeful” he will return for the postseason.
