Memphis 901 FC Adds Goalkeeper Taylor Bailey

Memphis 901 FC announced on Friday the team has signed goalkeeper Taylor Bailey.

The Tennessee native began his career with the Oakland Roots in 2020. He has also had several loan stints with different teams around the USL, including Forward Madison and the now-defunct San Diego Loyal. In that time, Bailey made 13 appearances and kept a total of seven clean sheets.

“Taylor is a quality young goalkeeper with a lot of upside,” Assistant Sporting Director Caleb Patterson-Sewell said. “He is a very good shot stopper and is very good with his feet. We look forward to Taylor competing with Tyler and Aren this season in what will be a strong group of goalkeepers.”

Bailey joins a goalkeeping group that includes second-year keeper Aren Seeger and MLS veteran Tyler Deric, who was signed earlier this off-season from the now-defunct Rio Grande Valley Toros.

Memphis 901 FC has three remaining preseason games, including against the University of Memphis at the Billy Murphy Track & Soccer Stadium. The 2024 regular season is set to begin down at AutoZone Park on Saturday, March 9 at 3pm against the Las Vegas Lights. They will then play a second straight home game the following Saturday against Indy Eleven.

Season tickets for 901 FC’s sixth year in the USL Championship are now on sale, with information regarding single game tickets to be released at a later date.
