Memphis ranked No. 24 in final AP Top 25 Poll

Long time coming. The Tigers haven’t been ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 all year, but I guess winning a conference tournament brings a little more exposure.
After beating the No. 1 team in the country on Sunday in the AAC Championship Game, Memphis was ranked No. 24 in the final AP Poll.
Penny Hardaway and the Tigers finished the year with a 26-8 overall record. Three of the Memphis’ eight losses on the season came against teams that were ranked No. 1 in the country at one point in the season.
As a No. 8 seed in the east region of the NCAA Tournament, Memphis will play No. 9 seed Florida Atlantic in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, March 17.
