Milwaukee transfer forward Jamichael Stillwell includes Memphis in final 6 schools

Memphis basketball is firmly in the mix for Milwaukee transfer forward Jamichael Stillwell.
The Tigers are one of six finalists for the 6-foot-8 junior, he told College Basketball Content on Tuesday. Other contenders for his services include Oklahoma, West Virginia, UCF, Virginia and Xavier. Memphis is currently working to set up a visit with Stillwell, multiple sources told Bluff City Media last week.
Stillwell helped Milwaukee finish second in the Horizon League this season before losing to Oakland in the conference tournament quarterfinals. He averaged 13 points, 10.7 rebounds (No. 7 in Division I) and 1.3 steals on 46.8% shooting. His 16 double-doubles tied for 11th in the country. The Atlanta native also grabbed 333 total rebounds this year, which ranks No. 14 nationally.
Stillwell, who previously played at Miami Dade College and Butler Community College (El Dorado, Kansas), received the Horizon League Newcomer of the Year award and an All-League First Team selection for his efforts. He enters next season with one year of eligibility remaining.
Stillwell would be an ideal candidate to replace Nick Jourdain, whose eligibility expired this year, as Memphis’ starting power forward. The Tigers are also expectedly losing Tyrese Hunter, Colby Rogers and Moussa Cisse to exhausted eligibility, and Jared Harris, Baraka Okojie, PJ Carter and walk-on Damarien “Dink” Yates to the transfer portal. This means coach Penny Hardaway must replenish at least eight roster spots this offseason.
Dain Dainja is currently out of eligibility too, but he’s repeatedly expressed belief that he’s entitled to an additional campaign. Sources say that Dainja plans to file for a waiver from the NCAA to potentially rejoin Memphis next season.
PJ Haggerty, Dante Harris and redshirt Bouna Kebe can all return in 2025-26. Eastern Florida guard Felipe Patino and Overtime Elite guard Daniel Vieira-Tuck are the only incoming players for next year’s team as of now.
This leaves Memphis with eight open scholarships.
