Memphis 901 FC postpone game on June 7 due to U.S. Open Cup Scheduling
The first regular season matchup between Memphis 901 FC and Birmingham Legion FC has been moved from June 7 to Sept. 20. The game will be played in Birmingham’s Protective Legion Stadium at 7:30 C.T.
Legion, who knocked out 901 FC earlier in the competition, have reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup — scheduled for June 7 against MLS side Inter Miami FC.
Moving the game to September means the two teams will play each other twice in the span of 10 days. 901 FC will host Birmingham on Sept. 30 in AutoZone Park.
