Memphis Tigers, fresh off AAC title, earn No. 8 seed in NCAA tournament
For the second straight year, Memphis is headed to the NCAA tournament.
Right after their 75-65 victory over #1 ranked Houston, the Tigers found out their destination and where they will be playing their first game in NCAA tourney play.
In addition, they will be playing in the 8 vs 9 game in consecutive years. However, the Tigers will be the 8th seed located in the East in their matchup against Florida Atlantic, who finished 31-3 and won the Conference USA tournament. The game will take place on Friday. The time is TBD.
This game serves as a preview of next season, when both teams will square off as fellow AAC members.
With a potential victory, the Tigers may have the opportunity to square off against Purdue, the number 1 seed in the region and victors of the Big Ten tournament.
